Problem with media player 10 while playing .mpg & .dat files & Direct X

Hi... Friends from some days I face the problem with my media player 10.
I am using Windows XP SP2 and also loaded K-Lite codec .
while playing *.mpg or *.dat (VCD files) its plays very slow and sound comes correctly. This problem with these kind of files only any other files working fine and correct..
Friends please help me …..

I also have problem with my another pc for DirectX. I already installed direct X 9.0b with Windows XP Sp2 but I cant upgrade with Direct X 9.0c …when I am trying to install newer version of DirectX it starts wizard but after next just complete setup but not upgraded. So what to do…

Try serching for other codec pack, I am not very happy with K-lite.

Uninstall Direct X b first restart, then re-install DirectX c.

If nothing works and if you have the time then re-install and install 9c first.
