Unhappy media centre installation woes


while installing windows media centre(upgrade)i got a error which said cannot find dtsci.sys or something like that.and while installing as a boot cd i got an error like file\i386\ntkrnlmp.exe not found plz help me out.

The CD has errors or has not been burnt properly. Or the error lies in your cd rom. Contact MS if the CD is genuinely genuine.

media center comes in 2 cd. better copy both cd on harddisk in same folder. or when "cannot find" ,search it in 2nd cd.
if installing from DVD/harddisk,whatever it is not finding search in the folder,and you will find it.

well can u guyess point me the link where it is stated that Media Center is available for OEM sale l??

as far as i know its illegal to do such installation ....

i think u r right, Media centre is not 4 OEM sale, it comes pre-installed on 'media centre PC's' with compatible TV tuner hardware

@ratedrsuperstar
ur cd probably hasn't been burnt properly or the setup files are corrupt
