boot sector virus

hi i have infected my computer with a boot sector virus.avast,avg & norton cannot do anything about it .please help.

Boot into DOS using Win98 boot floppy and run 'fdisk /mbr' - this should wipe it out. But, BEWARE - this removes any bootloaders you may have installed - after this, you will be able to boot only windows.
If you are using WinXP, you can use the recovery console - i think the command is 'fixmbr'

if you have the Norton Antivirus CD, boot-up your computer from that cd and follow onscreen instructions.
NAV should be able to remove the boot sector virus from there.

avast is good .. it checks ur memory first for virus and thn it restarts for boot sector virus scanning.. and whole thing is that K yaar it is free for home use
