Default WinXP SP2 Installation Advisable OR NOT


Hi there hello everybody i am using winxp prf. with sp1 . it works smoothly and once time i tried installation of SP2 and then some pb. started so i restore my computer to prev. SP1. but can any body tel me is it really good and safe to upgrade SP1 to SP2 or not .

plz help and advise accordingly. i loaded sp2 from digit cd only.

Yes dude it is certainly advisable to load sp2 but how you install it matters.Everybody might suggest you slipstream it & perform a clean install but you can update it too with your system in present state.I myself found no problems by updating to sp2 from sp1.There are certain precautions that should be taken care of.You can read some important info regarding measures to be taken here
If you still feel that upgrading might cause some problems then slipstreaming & performing a clean install is the way for you.All the best.
