os selection......

i have installed fresh copy of winxp sp2 few days back(only 1 os i hv) but after 2-3 days from no where there were 2 options for os selection
i dont know from wher it came.....

so i edited the boot menu and removed the other os path and it looks like

timeout=7
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOW S
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Micro soft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect

but still it ask for os selection, now i m not sure abt modifying this .......

can any 1 tell me wat to do??

Set the timeout to 0.

@syk : his default line is not correct,win boots w/o showing timeout even if timeout is set to 30.


@ninad ...change ur boot.ini to following:
