screen goes black

l have 845gl via motherboard,mx 4000,512 mb ddr ,window xp sp1 and dont 'remember version of graphic driver.after playing some game ,after reboot,it shows some nv--.dll file is missing ,insert system disk.then after it post and os selection and then screen goes black.monitor is on and cpu shows activity but i can't see anything.it happens also in safe also.please help me guys!

note down thw .dll and post it...

note down the .dll file that is missing,
search down google for it,
place it in the system32 folder in windows and u r done.

then did you put the System Disk,
I think your Graphic drivers may have got corrupted, if placing the dll file will help you then find the dll file here--http://www.dll-files.com/

thanks for the advice but the file name was shown only once.now i gets blank screen,so how could i put that file in its place if i can not see anything.

Did you insert the System disk????????
try that, coz it should have the original (on board gfx) drivers.
