Fun With Microsoft Word
chek this out
Even Bill Gates doesn't know why it happens,
it was made by a Brazilian, just test it....
Open Microsoft Word and type:
=rand (200,99)
and then hit ENTER
Funny, isn't it?

Mr Gates knows why this happens. It is a 'feature' of Word for adding sample text to a document (for testing page formatting etc.). It is documented in the MS Knowledge-Base. See it here : http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;212251

I have tried several function like
=rand(2,3), =rand(100,99) all those worked
It is like built in function within MSWORD
If you know VBA, you can make your own functions!
I had made many for Excel

Finally i got know that =rand(2,3) this function produces sentance "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog." 6 times that is product of passed two numbers if u give =rand(3,3) it produces 9 times.. u can use any two number.....
"The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog." this contains all the english alphabets...
i think this function is built by the MS-word devoloping team to test fonts and other tests ..
what u ppl say

Re: Fun With Microsoft Word
MSWord2007 gives you a different output with rand function
Following is something that happens with =rand(3,3)
Code:
On the Insert tab, the galleries include items that are designed to coordinate with the overall look of your document. You can use these galleries to insert tables, headers, footers, lists, cover pages, and other document building blocks. When you create pictures, charts, or diagrams, they also coordinate with your current document look.
You can easily change the formatting of selected text in the document text by choosing a look for the selected text from the Quick Styles gallery on the Home tab. You can also format text directly by using the other controls on the Home tab. Most controls offer a choice of using the look from the current theme or using a format that you specify directly.
To change the overall look of your document, choose new Theme elements on the Page Layout tab. To change the looks available in the Quick Style gallery, use the Change Current Quick Style Set command. Both the Themes gallery and the Quick Styles gallery provide reset commands so that you can always restore the look of your document to the original contained in your current template.
