Default Re: Boot Error Message

1) Check weather there is no floppy disks when booting

2) set ur first boot device in ur bios (press del/F2 key when starting the system)

3) select the boot device order as hdd(ur hdd name)..cd/dvd..floppy

4) if the problem presists, check ur IDE cable connecting ur hard drive.. try switching the cd rom and hdd IDE.. (ive faced this problem of faulty IDE cables)

5)be sure that the MBR is not corrupted. Check weather correct path is given in boot.ini in the os partition

If your Windows OS has become corrupt , in that case you can't boot. Go to BIOS in the 'Advanced Options'
keep the first Boot device as HD , second Boot device CD-ROM, ans so on. If you boot from a CD that's not
bootable , you get the error message- "Boot failure , Invalid System Disk". Once you install Windows ,
change the first booting device as Harddisk, otherwise it will always check your CD drive first. If no
bootable CD is found in the CD-ROM , it takes the second booting device option and tries booting from it!!
