u should for the regular DVD writers cuz the HD/Blu-Ray drives are going to be very expensive when they are launched,and media availability is also going to be a major issue.

Hd/Blu- Ray is not a good choice know....
LEt it to come....then after three months go for it.... This wld give u choice from different variants...

Well HD DVD players are available as of now, but not in India. There are also certain Movies released for this format already by Hollywood Studios. Including Blue Ray disc players are available . To know more about these visit the following links

I already have a Sony dual layer DVD R/RW and am sticking to it.
BTW, 'Forget DVD players i am happy with my HardDisk Capacity' << this is a ridiculous option! And they are called ROMS, not players. Players are the standalone DVD players used to watch movies, etc.
