norton,as usual.No way am gonna install that one.Slows down the system performance by half.

AGV runs well,but hardly detects anything,

never ever going to try norton in my lifetime. i had a bad experience with it. AVG is not a system hog...

why? None of the antivir mentioned in the list r very good at detection(99%+)....Kaspersky is missing...so is NOD32
But lemme tell u, dont underestimate avast!...its good

i also hate antivirus. there is no need of anti virus, infect those having anti virus more suffer with virus attacks.

NOD32 is an AntiVirus, not a Firewall! You should definately use a firewall. I use XP's in-built firewall. Its nice and light, doesn't get into my face. And before people spam with "windows firewall sucks", lemme remind them, a poorly configured firewll (user presses allow to everything) is worse than XP firewall. And XP's firewall is excellent at blocking inbound stuff. I dont need outbound protection as long as i dont install crap, and im behind a router. If you really want a firewall other than XP's use Agnitum Outpost firewall.

I would not install any AV which is not updated though i will not install Norton either as its a real resoucre hog.

just uninstalled Mcafee it really screwed my system

Now I am using Kaspersky everything is fine as before
