Default McAfee Virus Scan prob??


I have recently installed McAfee Virus scan on my desktop On XP pro.. But there is some error while updating it.." Failed to initialize Common Updater subsystem. Make sure the McAfee Framework Service is running";
I reinstalled it but this persists... Help needed..

Check if u have a dial up adapter installed... if u dont have a network card installed.... beacuse the auto updater feature requires the n/w drivers to start thier service......... if still problem occurs... try to do a custum install leaving out the autoupdater feature.... coz u'r softwre is corrupt... and u have 2 manually download the update def. file
