Default Where is the Folder Options

Hi everyone,

I have been facing a problem since many days. Even Googling didn't help me out of this.

Let me describe you in detail.

My system configuration:

P4 2.66GHz
915 Intel Original Board
512 RAM
52x Combo
80 GB SATA (Seagate)

Problem Description:
------------------------

I am unable to see the " Folder Options " in Explorer Tools menu. It cannot even be seen either in the control panel as well.

I have tried installing almost all flavors of Windows i.e 98, 2000, XP, 2003. Not only from a single set of CDs but different set of OS CDs from my friends. All my friends with same configuaration has the option but the problem of not showing Folder options is only with my PC.

I have even tried a no. of different settings as well, but in vain.

Another problem on the same PC is that, when I create a folder (e.g xyz), then automatically another folder with same name is created as a child folder (xyz).

There is no data or backup on my HD. I have created all kinds of partitions(FAT32, NTFS) several times. There is no virus or trojan. I have been creating partitions agin and again with different options but in vain again.

I repeat that the same set of OS CDs work perfectly on other PCs.

So can anyone help me out. Lets see what ideas you all have

Waiting for you Digital Solutions !!!

the thing about child folder creation with same name as parent folder is probably bcos of virus "w32@blackmal".is ur comp on n/w?if yes disconeect and re-install.
else remove ur harddisk connect it to ur friends comp with a updated and good antivirus such as norton or kapersky and run a check.then reinstall.
pls note if u had burned d cd from somewhere else where the comp was infected with virus, the instalation cd might itself have a virus.
