how to make internet connection in Linux- kubuntu.

1)first check if ur modem/Ethernet card is detected or not
2)For Braoad band type ifconfig and set neccessary parameters.
3)If all is right then it must connect.Else u will note some symptoms or behaviors,Post that.

What kind of question is this? How do we know what type of internet connection you are planning to setup? Are we supposed to guess or imagine? Post what you want to achieve properly! Whether it is a modem/cable/DSL connection, what kernel version you are using, your hardware, Kubuntu version etc.
