wmv movie files

i downloaded some wmv files from net. and they are not working. some protection code are given. how to break them

Comming to the query. first check if Media player 10 is installed ( or other codecs). then check if the files are protected (By checking the properties) . If they are protected then i guess its not possible for you to play it

. Sorry we cannot discuss about breaking protected files here as it might be against the rules

Check what charangk said. If those are protected files, then you will not get any help on this forum as it is illegal and goes against forum rules.

There are some files around that are protected & require you to obtain a license so as to be able to view them.

Generally, when you open such files, WMP automatically asks you to purchase a license.
If you badly want to see it, then you must obtain the license from that site( mostly you have to become a member by paying some money).
