Default computer virus


hello,
i am using avast antivrus free edition.i found a win32 virus in my comuter.it was deleted by avast.
but how can i be sure that the computer is absolutely free from any virus.

You can also try free online scan services provided by various antivirus agencies such as trend micro, panda, etc...

Make sure to install Kaspersky or NOD32 antivirus solutions from internet. and then forget about viruses forever.

Look out for some odd behaviour like System hanging,
software corruption, a dialog that says 'Fatal Exception'
and stuff like that.

No antivirus can give 100% protection. Some latest
viruses disable Norton antivirus itself!! I have seen
it happening in my system.

Better browse only the trusted sites. and install a
good firewall like ZoneAlarm with Norton antivirus.
Update the antivirus regularly.

avast is good, so u r in safe hands.
if u ever feel a doubt u can always scan online at http://virusscan.jotti.org/ with multiple anti-virii.
