My Computer (R Click) > Properties > Advanced > Startup and Recovery > Settings > Edit.

A notepad opening boot.ini is got. Now close all open windows and dialogue boxes, yeah ALL! except the notepad of course. Now delete the lines that u dont need at boot and reboot.

Each line that I am reffering to will look like
Code:
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn

If ur not familiar with ir...dont risk it! U better try "winxp manager" to do the task. Get the latest 15 day trial downloadable version!

go to start > run . type msconfig
goto the tab boot.ini
click on check on all boot paths. u're problem is solved. if it doesnt work manually delete those drives that dont contain the actual XP in the given list
