Default Missing Excel in All Programs in Win XP

I have a peculiar problem. Recently I saved two excel files and created their shortcuts on the desktop, as I had to frequently refer to these files. Since then the Excel Logo is missing from my program list. Whenever I want to open Excel I have to first open the file from desktop shortcut and then close it and create a new file or open another file. I can't find the Excel in the all programs list. Please help on how to restore it in the program list.
Thanks and regards,
saigalp

Default

just create New Shortcut in your Start Menu..

Right Click on ur Start Button then go to Program Folder and in Program Folder Right Click and Choose New --> Shortcut and in Location field browse thru where you Installed Excel (by default in Program Files) and click Next and then Finish....thats it..
