Default Help me Digit ?

I have win xp pro with serivice 2 installed on my pc.
My problem is my pc won't restart/turnoff.i have to turn it off by ejecting the turnoff/restart button.How can i solve my problem.I off many services and turn unwanted services.
Tell me plz.

start your computer in safe mode and see if you can restart/turnoff you computer from that mode

if we can than we need to check services or startup items in msconfig

so checkout safe mode and let us know...

it didn't turn off/restart in safe mode.

create a new user account and see if you can turnoff/restart your computer from there....

see if you can atleast log off from your computer

if not than click on "log off", then click on "switch user" and from the login screen click on "turn off computer"

if in case you have norton installed on your system than you can type "services.msc" from run and from the services list there disable "symantec password validation" and see if that works...
