yahoo messenger problem

When i click the add button every thing works fine. but after giving all the details when it sarts to add the contact it responds as following

"your request to add contacts has taken longer than expected to complete
te operation may have seccceeded. pls check your messenger list later."

for the past i1 week it responds same whats the problem can i use any other messenger to connect yahoo. can i add messenger list like yahoo.

try this method:
1)Sign into www.meebo.com using ur yahoo id and password.
2)add the id u want to add in ur list thru it.
3)sign in thru yahoo msngr to c if it has been added or not.

Hey that is not a problem ..but the person you are trying to add has not come online or he was not online the time you added him. .. when you are sure that he(person u r tyrin to add) is online then try to add him ... then this message will not appear

@readermaniax..ur wrong there buddy...the name gets added even though the person is not online/invisible/have not yet accepted ur adding..

bro thts not ur prob.this syndrome happens because of two things
1.slow internet speed(i mean real slow)
2.ISP server is packed

try it at times when ur net speed is decent.

guys i tried every thing u said. i use a dailup modem of net one which connects at 50.6 kpbs and i also use my cellphones air tel mobile office connection nothings changed. i tried even reinstalling the y! messenger ,but all in vein. the same problem accurs in my friends home pls tell me a sollution
