Default Help. Decrypting files..


I had encrypted files in my docs folder.. But windows crashed and i had to format the drive and install new windows.. but i took the backup of the encrypted files.. Now when i am trying to decrypt it says access denied.. I went through windows help it says i need a certificate.. Which i dont have..
I tried adding recovery agent but i cant do it without certificte.. Its very imp for me to decryt those files.. Help me please...!!!

Which software did u encrypt it with?
Have you installed that software again? If no, then install it and in both cases, decrypt the files using that software.

If you don't have the key that you used at the time of encryption then those files are lost for good.

Default Decrypting files...

I did it through windows encryption feature... I have a certificate thumbprint.. can i do anything with it,, or is there any software to decryp the files or crack the key...
