Guys i got messaeg from kaspersky
here is the screen shot


and google search results for that ...

can some one tell me in brief what was that , and howthat could have harmed my pc ?

somone might be trying to scan your port or something...

do u have public IP?

i.e. NOT starting with 172, 10 or 192

What is a public ip ?

my ip doset start with 172,10 or 192 its 61.x.xxx.xx

just as i check this i got the second attack..

another attack just now ..got an advice to change my ip from my friend let me try doing that

okay now this seems to be a brute force attack rather than aimed attack..so even if you change the IP it wont help coz someone might be attacking all IPs in your range...

But you dont have to worry coz your firewall is blocking the attacks..

They just scan the IPs to find loopholes in the OS...

i get this same attack almost 5 times a day .. i am also kn KAV and it thows this screen up almost evey time i connect to the internet .. i think its a false positive.

The worm seems to be related to MS SQL...

i am on win xp sp 2 man .. never used sql server . and i have been receiving this attack screenie since 6 months now .. its always with kaspersky. i get this only when i dont use any firewall program (right now i am using the sp2 f/w). its a bug according to me and nothing serious.

I USE NIS... I was also has like this attack...........AND NIS BLOCK"S IT.

I also recieve the same attack message atleat 5-6 times on an average day. But thanks to kaspersky.. no serious problems till date...
