Default Confirm Windows XP Professional files...

How do I come to know whether a file belongs to the windows XP or is installed by some other application or may be a virus? Is there a comprehensive list of windows xp files irrespective of whether a feature is installed or not? Only some files on checking the properties show that the publisher is Microsoft and not all the files...

Hi,
if said truely you cannot say its installed by Windows XP / OS or installed by any Application ,
i.e.
theirs a file twain_32.dll in %systemroot% and theirs a no info about company name
Twain_32 Source Manager (Image Acquisition Interface) . so i dont think it can be determine by the version info or anything ...
