Default sify-IE problem

i'm using SIFY 64 kbps internet connection ,the problem is that the moment i log into my account, IE(internet explorer) browser window automatically pops out and opens sify website which is annoying cause i dont use IE (i'm using firefox).

can IE be stopped to open automatically?

forget the default dialer and get Sify Guard from here and all your woes should end

It is the same with dial up if you use sify dialer. Best thing is to use the Windows dialer and there will be no further pop ups from sify. With sify dial up dialer it was displaying pop ups every 4 minutes. Sometimes it used to open even 20-30 windows and my computer would ultimately hang and i had to reset it. I have now shifted to BSNL which is much cheaper.
