Default Problem with IE

1>I installed a desktop shell replacement software so that my desktop looked like a mac pc.
2> few days later i installed Internet explorer 7 beta version.
3>then i got bored of my mac desktop and uninstalled the software. but it replaced the old(version 6) iexplore.exe.
4> this corrupted my IE. now its niether 6 nor 7.
5>i face a lot of problems now- there is no uninstallaton method for IE7.
and reinstalling IE7 doesn't help as it says it's already installed.

I would very much like to get back to IE6. Can anyone tell me how can i restore IE6 with out reinstalling windows...

try going to add/remove programs and going to "add/remove windows components" and uncheck the "internet explorer" and click apply or watever and see if it uninstalls IE. if done... go there again and tick it and install it. wud ask for xp/2000 cd...

reply back if it worked.

TRY TO DELETE THE FOLDER OF INTERNET EXPLORER

REMOVE THE REGISTRY KEYS

RESTART

RE-INSTALL INTERNET EXPLORER 6.0/7.0

RESTART AND SEE IF THERE IS EVERYTHING OK

Hope this will help you!

Reinstalling should make things work fine again.

If not working, try repairing the IE 6 installation using ur Win CD.
