Not able to install 3D MAX 6........

I have winxp with sp2 and whenever I try to install MAX6 it shows that it requires ie6 or higher. But I already have internet explorer 6. Actually I upgraged my mobo so clean installed winxp with sp2(by formating HDD). Earlier (before the upgrade) I was able to install it with no problem. One more thing sp2 is not integrated to winxp pro installation, it's on a seperate CD.

My config:
AMD64 3000+ venice (new)
ASUS A8N-E (new)
1024MB DDR 400 dual channel
LEADTEK 6600GT PCI-E 128 MB (new)
SEAGATE 80GB HDD
winxp pro original
max6 original.

I tried reinstall ie6 using the ie.inf file. Still the problem persists.

Pls help.......

Ma requirs, IE 6, Quciktime 6.52 & Java runtime 1.4 atleast to install & work porperly, also the latest drivers for your gfx card

u better install these components, which are also given in Max CD first

Well GX I have all these installed. As u see, before the upgrade I had already installed MAX6. So, pls could u help me. And MAX6 installation shows that IE6 not found, even when I have it installed.
