error code:0x80090006

i have p4 and winxp pro.i bought a new hard disk and copied my active window partitio to the new disk.bot when i booted from the new disk and logged ,it give me error ( a problem is preventing windows from acurately checking the license for this computer error code:0x80090006).is that due to changing the logon screen from style xp.i can't boot using safe mode.i have googles it and found that i have to do re-installation or upgrade.isn't there any other method?

also when i connect my old disk as slave ,i can log on.but my active system partition is not c: drive.(it's l:0 c: is on my old disk.i check for my activation ,i got that ,window is already activated.
