Default GMail refuses to open in my Computer --- Urgent Help needed

hi friends,

I am in a very surprised as well as depressed situation here.

My computer simply refuses to open the Inbox of GMail .

Yes, I have tryed to open the Gmail Inbox by providing Username and Password (which are correct) in the login page and then after I see the page being re-directed to my Inbox and the "Loading...." text does appear on the LEFT side of my browser screen.

And then suddenly the browser window STOPS RESPONDING.

This is not all.

I have tried this with

* Internet Explorer 6 with SP2

* Opera

* Mozilla Firefox

but I get the same results.

My Computer configuration is as follows :

Intel 915GAV mobo
Intel Pentium 4 3.0Ghz LGA775 Proc (HT enabled)
Kingston DDR 512MB RAM
Seagate Harddisk.
Samsung DVD/CD-RW combo

Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 2 and latest fixes.
Internet Explorer 6 with SP2 + hotfixes. (default browser)
Windows XP SP2 firewall enabled.
Sygate Personal firewall enabled.
Norton Antivirus 2004 with NIS enabled.

NOTE : all other websites open and is working fine, including MSN, Hotmail Inbox , etc.

Please help me resolve this problem. (I cannot re-install windows just because of this problem since I have too many applications installed on my computer)

What about the versions of the browsers, download Opera 8.51 or Firefox 1.5

Have you configured your firewall to allow net access to gmail.com?

If u havent done that open ut firewall window, & add www.gmail.com to the sites list & then, enable the option for "Allow 3rd party cookies".....

Hope this helps u...

Peace

If Opera crashed, use Firefox 1.5

Best solution::::::::
As it happens with me
Solution:

1.Use refresh button wen browser stops instead of going back and again clicking on the link

2. Dont use xplorer button. Use gmail links and buttons. like after entering into a letter from inbox dont try to go back 2 d inbox using back button of explorer at the top. click on inbox link on the page itself. Google uses java to load scriplets dat are self sufficient on the same page. there is all the contents on the same page. U just hv to click on the links. Using back buttons, the browser has to reload the java applets
3. Download and enable latest java runtime
4. Enable cookies
5. Re-install the browser or check for security problem like any kind of browser hijacking happening

5. Best of luck

YES it works on other PCs.

I went to cybercafe and it worked there, later I cameto know the browser was not 6, so I installed windows xp pro sp1 on my same computer in the D: partition, there I was able to access GMail.

So, please tell me how can I get to GMail in my default OS WindowsXP Home with SP2 + updates.

try turning off firewalls 4 a while , i think multiple firewalls working at a time causes problem
try only 1 firewall at a time , probably zonealarm pro.
