Default How can i share a cablenet connection?

I declare that i no nothing in networking. So plz explian in detail.
My account is expiring on 17 dec. As my exams got over yesterday, i need net very much.

I can not go to MTNL triband.

I, and my friend, Kushal, in same building, have a 40kbps unlimited connection from a local cablewalla. The ISP is EXATT.net
me and kushal have different IP addresses, but the CAT5e wires to both PCs come from ths same switch. The switch is easily accessible to me.
Now since he has ceased 40 kbps connection and minimum is 64 Kbps with higher rate, we both can not continue.

Q:
how can we share the 64kbps or higher connection?
option 1 > with both PCs need not be working.
option 2 > with my pc as server
option 3 > using the cablewalla's switch only (i can request him)

we both can buy some cat5e cable, switch etc.
or ne other option.

U guys can ask for ne detail.

You can run a proxy server on ur friends PC.
N configure your system to access the net
through that ip.
You will have to configure IE proxy settings etc.
The most simple and userfriendly proxy server
i ve come across is analogx
http://www.analogx.com/files/proxyi.exe
Or you can use ICS service in windows.

well i can suggets u another thing... here i think that no external proxy will be needed... windows default internet connection sharing will be enough.... thats useing 2 LAN card on ur frnd's computer.... let me explain...

Kushal system...

LAN Card 1 (IP from Cable) connection (CAT5) of cable..

LAN Card 2 (u set IP) IP & default getway 192.168.1.1 then attach a CAT5 from this card to ur computer... if u r in side on 70m then no need of a switch...

now at ur system end...

LAN Card 1 (only one card requeard). IP 192.168.1.xx default getway 192.168.1.1...

post back if any problem...
