yahoo messenger problem

recently my yahoo messenger has stopped workin
whenever i open it it minimozes into the system tray and then disappears
i dont know why i installed the latest yahoo messenger from digit dvd(december)but i still have the problem
Help needed!!!!

Did the problem start after or before the new install with the Digit DVD? If it started after the install, it is possible that either there is some problem with the version you installed or the installer on the DVD might have been the source of problem. Try to download the latest version from the net or try to install an older version. Also, post the version information. Additional info such as OS, AV, Firewall, results of AV/Spyware checks also will be useful in diagnosis.

Also, check the task manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del or Run->taskmgr) and go to Processes Tab and see if any YPager is still running. End the process and try restarting YPager....

I cant seem to find any info on this at Google, so it does not appear to be a large scale problem...
