Default DATA LOSS

hey,
installed win-98side by side after win-xp through bootable cd
(setup of old operating system is disabled in xp)
before install I had four partion on 80 GB SATA hard disk of size:-

1)c: 6.81(NTFS)(for operting system)
2)d: 6.81(NTFS)(for operting system)(win-xp preinstalled and active)
3)e:30.4(NTFS)(data)
4)f:30.4(NTFS)data

my problem is 98 did not install correctly b'cos some files were missing
and i choose the option to skip file (i skiped atleast 25-30 core files)
after install it booted correctly and strangely it did not ask for SATA
drivers from floopy during the whole process(as i do in xp).IN my computer
it showed only one drive.I though that others are NTFS so it was not reconizing it
and the first one fomatted in fat32 and also no cd icon.in BIOS IT WAS DECTING
my combo.so to remove 98 as my boot log was modified by 98 and xp could not assed
so i used recory console and fixed MBR but 98 was not removed instead when i booted 98
i was shocked to see the size of c: drive ,74.5 GB

· is my data lossed???
· is this because of fat32 and NTFS confilt??
· or b'cos of 98 not properly installed?

plese help me i want my data back at any cost??
