What problem are you facing in Tally in Normal mode? Just make sure all the files are present in the tally directory or reinstall. Moreover which version of tally are you using?

What error do you get if you start Tally 6.3 in Normal mode. Isnt 4.3 the Dos version, Use 5.4 as they were specifically made for 9x and it works fine with no issues.

someone is working on Tally and winXP, the person wants to keep his tally data secret so he installed tally on a USB External laptop HDD with casing, it is working fine on the pc ,
but now i want to know is, is there any log file or an image file is created by windows by which anyone can know that tally was running in that pc after removing the USB HDD with the PC ?
he does not want to have any trace of Tally after the EXT HDD is removed ..

?

No issues. It writes directly to its folder. Only problem that could occur is the inf file for tally would have the data folder set to some drive letter. If it is used on some other computer, you would need to manually edit it.
