Windows XP Media Centre for whom?

Can somebody explain what are the gains of WMC? I am using Win XP with SP2 for quite sometime. Will I gain any advantage by installing WMC?

not really unless u have a TV tuner supported by MCE cuz MCE is basically Windows XP SP2 with the Media Centre module as an addon.

i think MCE comes only pre-installed with branded PCs, correct me if wrong

u're right,MCE comes pre-installed only but then there are other sources too..
