Just try to repalce the " ntoskrnl " file from the other computer running Windows XP or u can run the Windows XP setup again and select the repair mode during the command based setup.

Just Boot up ur Computer with a Bootable CD/Floppy and try replacing file the backup file to the original location using DOS prompt.
OR u can directly run the Windows XP setup and select the repair Option

just try to repair ur windows installation
boot from ur windows cd and run the repair utility
and next time u wanna change ur boot screen use software like bootskin or style xp
its safer than manually changin the file .

Actually u have NTFS partitions with ur Windows and Files drive.
On which drive did u installed Windows XP??
If its on windows drive then just run the windows XP setup from a Bootable CD and choose the repair options during setup

dude thats a very confusing partitioning ... specially seein how they are being displayed and what they are supposed to be
simplest way i suggest attatch it to a working computer and replace ur file
before this .. since u have knoppix live cd
search the forum for " how to mount windows drives "...
mount ur drive .. u should be able to access it .. then do the needfull !!

O WAIT before this .. ur in luck if have a FDD
create a winxp boot disk ... ( ask ur friend to do it)
boot from ur floppy
and do the needfull !
