How to Uninstall Windows Firewall in Windows XP SP2???

Hello Friends!

I am having Windows XP SP2 as my OS. At the time when I installed SP2, I didnt had any Firewall installed in my computer, the reason why I think Windows Firewall automatically got installed. Now I have Zone Alarm installed in my computer as a Firewall. Now what should I do to uninstall Windows Firewall?

u need not uninstall it... just disable windows firewall

Try by using nlite

and after u disable, it wud keep popping on the taskbar. to get rid of that too, go to control panel -> security center -> change the way security center alerts me(left side, last option i guess) and choose no notification of firewall and if necessary the others too. u r done!

no it wont keep popping in the taskbar coz he is already using a firewall... zonealarm. windows recognizes zonealrm pretty well and does not giv alerts as u said. anyway, if one is sure that he is running a firewall always, then one can safely disable the alert.

Thanks guys! Fine, no one helped me out with the procedure of uninstalling Windows Firewall, but now I can atleast disable Win Firewall completely. Thanks again...
