    Don't use Chrome.

Either try Chromium or just use Opera. It might seem intimidating at first, but its better.

Sometimes Google Chrome tends to utilize too much of CPU and RAM. Try re-installing the software, else switch to FF or Opera

Try opening chrome's task manager (I think it was shift+escape) and see if anything turns up.

Hijacking this thread with a different issue, (guess it's better than creating a different topic),
When scrolling through a long page why scrolling is horrible? It stutters all the way, doesn't happen in Mozilla, IE or any other browser i've used. Any way to fix it?

    1. Try disabling one extension at a time and check.
    2. Try using smooth-scroll extension.
    3. Tried deleting the cache, cookies etc?
    4. Another radical method may be trying to block background images.
    5. Use another browser like Firefox or Opera

@IconCruz: Could be one of the extensions. Try running chrome by disable one extension at a time to find out which one is crashing.

I had a similar problem too. Chrome would crash each time I closed the browser. Disabled one extn at a time and found +1 button (for Google Plus) to be at fault.

It has bad scrolling on all web pages, but it becomes horrible when scrolling a long page.
It's nowhere near Mozilla's smoothness I've used to see.

Thanks, would give it a try today.

Switched to Chrome for two reasons, it starts up a lot quickly than Mozilla and that auto web page loading while typing the address. I won't use Opera, sorry. Never liked that browser.

    Update:
Okay I've installed 'smooth scrolling' extension but I don't think there is any betterment but placebo effect only. Also I only have 5 extensions. I really don't know why scrolling is so bad. And I have cleared everything, cache, browsing history and all, still, Mozilla seems like butter.
I wanna show this in a video. Is there a software with which I can record video of my desktop? I mean I wanna record what I am doing..

Perhaps re-installing chrome might work.. Just a wild hit and trial method though. Use Chrome sign-in to sync your bookmarks if you are worried of losing those.
