Is there any hidden features in excel to remove duplicate items from a column full of data.

Excel can sort any column, but I need sorting as well as removing duplicate items from the column.

I know there is VBA with excel, but I don't want to spend few hours making custom module for this task.

Is there any readymade Addin available, or code

help me!

Hmm .. You wanna hide them or delete them ..?
If you wanna hide them you can put a filter to hide duplicate items...

I want to remove duplicate item from column list

I have found out the solution

-> copying column data from excel
-> pasting it in EditPlus new text file
-> then sorting+removing duplicate (there is option in this program)
-> copying back to excel

this tips may be useful to someone

hey ! u can do that in excel too by using find command and then delete it .its simple no need for editplus here
