Exclamation Lost 8GB !!!

I Just ran disk defragmentor on windows 7 home premium(64bit) earlier my free space on c drive was 197gb which has now reduced to 189 gb!! i tried to run disk cleanup number of times cleaning the restore point and shadow copies but it doesnt help. it still show 189 GB.
What could possibly went wrong? i even ran disk defragmentor again but then also no use.

maybe hibernation file was deleted prior to disk defrag. but still that shouldn't account for the 8Gb free space.

or it can be some old windows installation file, if there were any.
