I am buying a pc through assembling soon.so what are some important free cool softwares (like java,direct x)that i have to install to a fresh pc.thanks in advance.

Here are some essential tools
1. Anti-virus (Avast,MSE,etc)
2. DirectX
3. Microsoft dot net framework
4. Web browser (Opera,FF,chrome,etc)
5. K lite codec pack (for playback of all kinds of media files)
6. PDF reader (foxit, adobe, etc)
7. Anti-spyware (spybot S&D)

optional
1. Image viewer (irfanview, picasa)
2. Office package (open office,etc)
etc. etc.

Apart from those already mentioned:

1. Java Runtime Environment
2. Flash
3. Silverlight
4. Media players (Winamp, VLC etc.)
5. Firewall (Outpost, Comodo etc.)
6. 7-zip
7. Download Manager (FDM etc.)
8. Torrent client (utorrent etc.)
9. System Optimizer (CCleaner etc.)

If you have a 64-bit OS and both 32-bit & 64-bit browsers, you need to install both 32-bit and 64-bit version of JRE & Flash.

Other software depending on your usage and needs.
