Default lmgrd.exe


recently my desktop developed a problem... when the system boots up, while the desktop icons appear, a message comes which says that 'lmgrd.exe caused some error and it prompts for error reporting.... what could this be?

lmgrd.exe Windows process - What is it?

Would recommend you to do a updated anti virus scan.
Also removing this entry from msconfig in startup tab might help

It's related to licensing. Check which program uses it.

@curioustechy: go to event viewer there u will get more info on the error.

type 'eventvwr' in run dialog box

I'm using avast and its updated

There is no entry of this in msconfig

Use autoruns to find it out and disable it:
