irc client

wanted irc client

must be idiot proof, hassle free, good gui
no mirc, xchat, smuxi (these dont work)

must have colored usernames(like smuxi)

windows 7 32 bit.

Have you tried Chatzilla? Firefox addon. And you can install separately under xulrunner.

Even Opera irc client is pretty good.

mirc + nnscript is what I use on Windows. Irssi for linux.

Btw, @doomgiver: Why hate XChat? I use it, and it's pretty good, with a lot of customization. It has colored user names, keeps logs and you can change theme too with a little geeking. Pretty good IMO.

Xchat has an extremely stupid interface. Mirc + nnscript is somewhat usable. Irssi is what I find the best.

Well, that's why I said, we can "customize" it.
Anyway.. havn't used Mirc/Irssi. So can't compare.

takes over 7 minutes, and 50% cpu usage.

It just shows HAVE FUN !! and then some member list at the right side of screen
