WIN32 generic host error

Whenever i connect my bsnl broadband connection after some time i get this 'win32 generic host error'.I have installed the patch(WindowsXP-KB894391-x86-ENU) for win xp service pack 2 but still the error keeps popping up.help.

enable the windows firewall it will be ok

also upgrade to sp3 install latest patches & use agood av software like microsoft security essentials
