Default problem with CHKDSK


When I starts my PC the CHKDSK always checks My drive G.
It contains only MY photos and camera videos of 14.4gb
And Photoshop 7 installed of 113gb.

so you want to get rid of chkdsk scanning!..?

just run scandisk (right click on that drive and properties) by enabling thorough check and automatic fix .

better try to take a backup of that drive before running chkdsk

@NitrousNavneet: right click the G: drive & select Tools Tab & uncheck the checkbox in
Error-Checking group.

open a command prompt window and type this :

chkntfs G /x

hit enter and reboot your pc - the issue should be solved

chkntfs /x g:

my computer properties->advanced->performance->visual effects

in that make sure this option is checked. "use common tasks in folders". if not, enable it.
