Default s/w to convert low reso to high reso wallpapers !


Guys is there any s/w which can convert low reso wallpaper to high reso wallpaper ? My dell xps has 1080p reso and many wallpaper which are not of 1920X1080 reso not look good.

I don't think there will be any...coz increasing the resolution of images will require up-scaling(like zooming)....so pixels will be clearly visible...& if the original resolution if very low then up-scaling @1080p will make the image like mosaic...

damn, zangetsu i cant find great wallpapers of 1920X1080

what about this?

You can't increase the resolution without loosing the quality.

try HDwallpapers.com

or just type "wallpapers 1080p"... u will get a whooping list in google

if you have a sample of the pic you want in Full HD resolution, use tineye to search for same pic. there maybe some higher resolution pic avl for the same.

As said by others earlier, resizing/up scaling images kill the quality.
And for hd wallpapers check out : www.wallbase.net Its the best out there IMO.


EDIT:

@OP: That liquid resize does seem to work with minimum quality loss. You can try it out, its really easy. I used it's GIMP plug-in but the results were not that satisfactory.

You can resize the wallpapers to HD resolution with great quality.

There is software for that:

Photo Zoom 4
