hi guys!

I have a 5.17 GB folder (IBM RAD) i want to burn it to standard DVD. can you suggest software to compress this folder under 4 GB? (please explain the settings too).

You may split it in volumes rather compressing it using winrar.

7 zip cant compress under 4 GB. i had downloaded chrome OS. it was 240 MB file but after i extracted it the final folder is of 1.9 GB ! how to achieve this level of compression ?

@amit dutt: do search the forum for similar topic on compression.

if u want high level of compression then win UHARC or KGB archiver....
but beware that KGB takes hell lot of time for compression & depends on hardware config

The topic of compression has already been discussed before and compression depends on file type and data redundancy. Some files can be compressed to a great level while others can't.
