Exclamation Disk Imaging - Some Doubts

Hi Friends,
I have some doubts about Disk Imaging, which are as below:

01] In case if I want to restore system drive from an image, how this process takes place? What happens to new data (like newly installed programs after image is created) which is not present in the image? Does the imaging software formats this partition before restoring or what?

02] In case if I have two OSes installed on two different partitions (with two different image DVDs), and I need to restore any one of them, is this possible to do this without affecting another OS? (I have Win-XP and Win7). Does this affect boot-loader?

03] The techsupportalert.com site suggests to use "Paragon Backup & Recovery (Advanced) Free Edition" software for this. Have anybody used this software? Can anybody suggest me any good program which is easy to use and of course FREEWARE / OPEN SOURCE

I greatly appreciate the answers and thanks in advance...

Yup it will. If you have Win 7 and XP installed then if you restore via XP than you wont be able to boot to Win 7 unless you re-restore with Win 7

IF you mean .ISO of Operating System then I think it will be like formatting.

THe Paragon Software is a good software considering its free.
