Default software to monitor network??

hey can someone tell me any piece software which tells me which progs are accessing the internet at the current movment....... cause i have just taken BSNL broadband so i dont want any transferr wasted... please tell me if such a software exists@!

A software has been designed specially for dataone users. Download it from www.shaplus.com/dataone. U need to enter your username and password...and u get your total account usage in MBs...Likewise u could use a freeware named Netlimiter.
