Window not maximizing...

Hey i have a very strange problem. my window does not maximize fully as in the image below but sometimes it even goes all right. plz help

if Chrome, update Chrome to 15.0.849.0 Beta. this problem started with a certain version of 14 beta & in the next release (again 14.*** something, it was fixed).

not only wid chrome. it is even with explorer. Also if a program forces or makes a web page appear as like if we uninstall a program then it redirects us to a web page and if at that time my chrome is minimized then when it maximizes, it maximizes fully without the bar on top. plz help me guys

I'm really not sure the cause of the problem here. It maybe that a process in the background is causing this problem.

• Try running in safe mode and see if the problem persists. Report back.
• When did this start happening?
• If possible, restore to a previous point before this incident.

That was confusing to read, but atlast, I got what you are saying. You meant, that if some other application starts Chrome, and if it's in minimized, it goes into Maximized.

Can you move the window of Chrome to that area, while it is in "Restored" mode, that is, "NOT Maximized Mode"?
Since sometimes even Explorer shows this problem, then it doesn't seem to be problem with Chrome. It's possible that there's some kind of Windows Sidebar, which have been shifted to top, and since it maybe there, other windows, are not able to get this space.

Check Task Manager Processes list, to see if Sidebar application is running or not.

Hey i ended explorer.exe from taskmanager and started it again and saw that my problem was resolved. y is this happening????

scan your system for malware with emsisoft antimalware. also take explorer.exe from your friend/relative & replace the old one. check if the problem is resolved.

Hey replacing Explorer.exe from friends computer is illegal. Read the EULA of Microsoft Windows.

You can however update or replace some .dll files. (Not .exe)

Hmm..please submit a startup log too. Anyway, for now, try deleting these processes from task manager:

• accuweather.exe
• FATrayAlert.exe
• FATrayMon.exe
• rlvknlg.exe

And then, startup a window fullscreen. If the problem is solved, one of these processes is causing the error. If it doesn't solve, then RUN THE SYSTEM IS SAFE MODE and report back.
