I get the following error

Seems like a corrupted file try to re download from here

It can also occur, if the Setup was interrupted in the middle before, and now you are re installing.
I myself had a ton of problems while installing VS 2008 once. So I installed 2010, and it worked.

Installing on another fresh OS can also help.

@fz8975: Buddy read the first line of the error..it clearly shows that microsoft document explorer cabinet file has error in it self..
