Red face Is there a really simple way to keep my laptop running smooth?

I seem to get a lot of problems surfing the web, my drive gets really slow
sometimes and other times it just crashes. I'm not a tech person so if
anyone knows a really simple and easy way to keep me away from the
problems I would be very thanking you.

Mirella,
The drive gets slower day by day bcoz of lots of file cluttering in harddisk.
so,do a defragment using defraggler once in a month atleast.
& use optimization tool such as CCleaner

Use optimization tools.
Defrag regularly
Clean registry
Defrag registry
Clean your disks ( I mean using Ccleaner not wiping out your data )
Optimize your memory consumption.

These should keep you out of trouble I guess.

Most probable reason: RAM is not sufficient.
Q: It would help if you write down your system configuration, like Processor, RAM etc.

Another probable reason: Problems with Net connection.
Q: Are you using Wireless or Wired connection, and what's the speed plan you have opted for?

Next less likely reason: You may be using alpha/beta versions of browser.
Q: Which version of browser are you using? Also quote the version by going to: Help -> About.

If this the reason then his browser must not be Opera because I am using alpha version and its working perfectly.

You have not given any information like what OS you are running, what is your hardware specs , without all these info, its like "andhere mein teer chalana" .
