View Wolverine vcd ! ! !

yesterday i bought this x-men-origins-wolverine vcd original ....it plays on my dvd player without any error .... bt doesnt play on my laptop, shows blank when inserted in drive .... i want to view it laptop also whenever i want .... i tried with isobuster, dvddecrypter, clonecd, clonedvd, teracopy, alcohol 120 .... bt still no result .... how can i view it ???

How will Teracopy play a DVD? anyways on a serious note try Windows Media Player.

Put in the DVD then right click the DVD Drive icon and click play with WMP(else only play). Vlc is great too

Just copy the dat file from VCD to the laptop and play it with VLC or MPC-HC.

Then it may be a problem with the drive. Are other VCDs showing properly?

yes all my old vcds are playing & showing in the drive ... this 1 is new ... no drive problem

Ok

Do one thing:

1. Copy the .dat file from the CD (mpeg folder) using your friends computer onto your PEN DRIVE.

2. Insert the PEN DRIVE in your laptops empty USB port.

3. Now copy the .dat file from the PEN DRIVE to your laptop.

4. Use any Media Player , like WMP to play it.

I Think may be a Drive prob
I Changed my older Drive cause of this only !

oye ppl .... whot happning, "drive says no disc" .... drive is fine, ok & well working .... its a laptop not desktop ..... ppl, do read & then post ......

some disks r copy protected but it should play or at least show in ur Laptop test in in another PC else claim for a replacement

It is playing properly in DVD Player, only in his Laptop it is not playing. Might be a problem with the hardware/software of the lappy, not the disk.

See , u Didn't catch what i was saying ..

1)You inserted the disc ....
2)What Does your drive tell Does that read something or that doesn't show anything ( I meant that blank )

3)Now u call this a DVD/BD Drive in common right ? you call that something else ??

Secondly , the above solutions are only permitted when your Disc is readable in general
let it be teracopy , DVD Decrypter etc ... U have to first produce a valuable Disc ..

Cause : Copy protected ( someone said ) - But u can at least play that ( U said ur laptop Didn't )
A few years back i had a Samsung drive on my P4 which could read only half the DVD/CD's - Even couldn't read brand new DVD's .. Feeling hell i made a complaint and spent Rs 1000 on it .... No good !! it was the same ..
So I sent an e-mail to them ... This was what they told !!

Depends on the nature of your Disc : Some Drives are sensitive to the thickness of DVD/CDs
If you bought it in a local market those people would have sticked some thick papers over the disc or it may be the reverse - extreme thin

But for me this theory is unacceptable. But i Don't know how far its true ...
I went for an LG Drive once i upgraded my PC

The same problem was felt by my Uncle in his ONIDA DVD player ...
Then he solved that by changing the players head !

Now See Whether the DVD(The CD) is Discoverable !

Correct me if i am wrong If a VCD is burnt & ejected at 98% it will play fine in a VCD/DVD player but in pc it will show as a blank disk because the session is not closed thats why i told him to check it in another PC to sort out the problem

My Laptop refused to play Portal 2 Original DVD, but it worked fine on Desktop

Cheap VCD/DVD Material is the main problem

all ppl, got ur point .... thanx 4 great replies .... no personal fight ppl just freaked & frustrated, u know when ur fav movie doesnt play when u want it .... that feeling .... playing on laptop is like no intrusion/disturbance with headphones .... playing on tv/dvdplayer is lotta disturbance .... so kinda needed a fast solution nevertheless, now its playing .... thanx again
